Earlier this summer, Harlem Renaissance poet Countee Cullen was inducted into The New York Writers Hall of Fame. Cullen biographer, Charles Molesworth, provided a tribute, which we share via The Library of America’s blog. Molesworth’s comments can be found here.
Those interested in Cullen and his legacy can read Charles Molesworth’s biography, And Bid Him Sing, A Biography of Countee Cullen (2012), as well as the new collected edition of Cullen’s collected poems edited by Major Jackson (2013)
