This Daihatsu Hijet got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1991 Daihatsu Hijet is a Deck Van model featuring a pickup bed with a tailgate as well as a van-style passenger compartment with sliding side doors. Power is from a mid-mounted 660cc inline-three paired with a four-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The vehicle was imported from Japan in April 2019 by the selling dealer, and it has been serviced with an oil change since it arrived. This right-hand-drive S82 HiJet is now offered at no reserve with importation documents, a tool kit, and a clean Georgia title.
The body is finished in white with darker painted bumpers at each end. A protective bar is mounted at the bed bulkhead, and provided photos in the gallery below show the tailgate as well as the bed floor. A 350-kilogram payload-rating badge is affixed at the rear.
Alloy-look wheels are mounted at each corner, and a spare wheel is stowed under the rear of the truck.
Pattered cloth upholstery is complemented by a brown dashboard and vinyl door cards. An aftermarket stereo has been installed atop the dash, and speakers are mounted in the doors. The rear bench is shown in the gallery and flips up for increased cargo space. The front passenger’s seatback has been repaired with a patch, as shown in the gallery.
About 60k kilometers (~37k miles) are shown on the five-digit odometer. Additional gauges include a 130-km/h speedometer as well as temperature and fuel indicators and several warning lights.
Located beneath the front seats, the 660cc inline-three is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The engine oil reportedly has been changed since the vehicle arrived in the United States.
