This 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V GSR is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four that has been modified with a Fujitsubo cat-back exhaust system, an HKS air intake, an oil catch can, and a turbo timer, and a rear strut tower bar, GReddy A-pillar gauges, a Kenwood CD stereo, and a radar detector have also been installed. Its five-speed manual transaxle is linked to an all-wheel-drive system with Active Yaw Control and helical front and mechanical rear limited-slip differentials. The car is also equipped with a front spoiler, fog lights, flared fenders, an aluminum rear wing, 17″ OZ Racing wheels, Brembo brake calipers, adjustable KYB dampers, Recaro front seats, automatic climate control, rear cabin heater, and a MOMO steering wheel. Imported to the US in May 2023 and subsequently acquired by the selling dealer, this Evo V has 162k kilometers (~101k miles) and is now offered in California with import documents, a CarVX report, and a clean Washington State title.

The car is finished in Scotia White (W83) and features a front spoiler, a vented hood, an adjustable aluminum rear wing, and flared wheel arches. Additional exterior details include a NACA duct on the hood, fog lights, heated side mirrors, Evolution V graphics on the rear doors, carbon-fiber rear stone guards, and a single exhaust outlet. Touch-up paint has been applied to the front end, faded paint is visible on the left side mirror base, and a dent is noted on the right front fender. Factory 17” OZ Racing alloy wheels are mounted with 225/45 MOMO TopRun tires. The Evo V features a wider track width over the outgoing Evo IV in addition to MacPherson-style front suspension and a double-wishbone-based multilink rear setup. A rear strut tower bar is installed and complements the factory front strut tower bar. KYB New SR Special adjustable dampers are fitted and stopping power is provided by red-finished Brembo calipers over disc brakes with ABS. The finish on the calipers is faded.

The right-hand-drive cabin features factory Recaro front seats and a rear bench trimmed in black Ecsaine with gray cloth inserts that extend to the door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, a rear heater, dual airbags, a Kenwood CD head unit, a center console, and power windows and door locks. A turbo timer was installed in the center stack as well as a radar detector with a digital readout located on the steering column. The front door panel fabric is sagging, scuffs are visible on the hard plastics, and wear is noted on the driver’s seat outer bolster and the floor mats.

The three-spoke airbag MOMO steering wheel fronts white-dial gauges including a 180-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. GReddy A-pillar gauges show boost and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 162k kilometers (~101k miles), approximately 500 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter 4G63T inline-four features a front-mounted intercooler and a TD05-HR turbocharger. Factory output was rated at 276 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. Modifications include an ARC header heat shield, a Beatrush radiator cooling panel, an oil catch can, and an HKS Super Power Flow air intake. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox, a viscous center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials. The Evo V is equipped with Active Yaw Control, which can adjust the amount of torque sent to the left and right rear wheels. A Fujitsubo Legalis R catback exhaust system is fitted. The Active Yaw Control system was last serviced at approximately 148k kilometers.

The car has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.
