.
Common name: Hillspire eastern redcedar

Comments: An upright to broadly conical evergreen tree, 15-30' high. Foliage remains dark green year-round. Flowers are staminate (male). An excellent, dense and symmetrically branched tree useful in mass or as a specimen to give vertical accent to the garden. Susceptible to an orange-brown gall-forming fungus that, fortunately, causes no damage to junipers, however it is an alternate host for cedar hawthorn rust.
