The Shimpaku Juniper is often the subject of bonsai's most prized trees. Unlike the Juniper Procumbens Nana, the Shimpaku juniper produces compact bright green soft foliage and attractive red-brown bark. The trunk and branches are also highly flexible. The Shimpaku Juniper has been trained.
