Thuja Orientalis Aurea Nana or more commonly known as Dwarf Golden Oriental Thuja is a bushy, evergreen dwarf conifer plant which creates a bright golden look. With dense foliage of erect sprays, golden yellow and green coloured with bright tips. Although the Thuja Orientalis Aurea Nana doesn’t flower, the foliage is evergreen, meaning it brings a beautiful bright warmth all the way through the years, even in the winter months!
Being a dwarf conifer the Aurea Nana can be planted in most locations and small gardens, low maintenance schemes, gravel and rock garden types and can even be planted along a walkway to create a low growing hedge.
Thuja Orientalis Aurea Nana care
Plant the Thuja Orientalis Aurea Nana in a warm sunny area of the garden with moist, well drained soils where it will thrive. Known as easy to grow and maintain, needing no pruning and generally disease and pest free. If needed to maintain the plants erect shape you can lightly prune either in spring or late summer time. More often than not you could leave the Thuja for years, untouched and it will grow in a good shape anyway.
