SUMMARY
Ascomata deeply cup-shaped, the young ones almost globose, without a stipe, the margin serrated. Hymenium smooth, pale; outer surface furfuraceous, cream. Paraphyses septate, irregularly swollen near the tip. Asci 8-spored. Ascospores 20-23 x 11-13 (mean 21.5 x 12.5) µm, smooth.
Notes from a field collection contributed by Yvonne Mynett, sequenced and with a 100% match to the holotype of Tarzetta alnicola. There are several historical field records of Tarzetta species from the same habitat, so the species may not be very uncommon.
