Popular since its introduction in 1964, Pinus heldreichii 'Compact Gem' (Bosnian Pine) is a compact evergreen conifer of dense, rounded to conical habit, adorned with a lush foliage of long, lustrous, deep green needles. Slow-growing, 6-10 in. per year (15-25 cm), this Bosnian Pine enjoys excellent disease and pest resistance and is a very pretty addition to the sunny garden, even the smallest of gardens as it grows slowly and does not exceed 12 ft. (360 cm) when fully mature.
