This cultivar is not a real old cultivar. It is available at a good number of larger, conventional and mail order nurseries. It is noted as being multi-stemmed and ground hugging, sort of flat-topped, and wide-spreading. Its needles hold a good green in winter and are winter burn resistant. With constant shearing it can be very thick and bushy, but I think it looks better not being sheared or at least only lightly. It can develop a nice informal habit similar to the 'Taunton' cultivar that is very nice.
