I looked all over the web for this specific Japanese Maple and they are extremely difficult to find. I stumbled across this company and was amazed at the variety of Japanese Maples they had for sale; more specific, my Shindeshojo! They outright state that this is a small company and shipping time can take a while during the peak season, so I expected a bit of a wait. After a week and a half (I was excited for this tree, so wanted an update), I messaged them and asked for information regarding my order. They provided this information quickly and answered my questions all the same day. UPS did take their time to deliver this tree, but the soil was still moist when I opened the box and the tree looked unscathed. I will 100% buy from this company again and urge you to do the same if you're interested in a tree they have for sale!
Quality is wonderful and the personal service and knowledgeable was too. A wonderful family business worthy of supporting. I will be ordering again.
Nicely packaged, beautiful plant. Looking forward to growing it.
The first one arrived damaged thanks to UPS smashing the box in half. The owners quickly sent a replacement tree (considering they where very busy fulling other orders) that was labeled the same cultivar but the leaf looked different. Many factors could have caused this… so to be sure, I ordered another one hoping one is correct. At this point, I wont know until next spring.
Tree arrived looking healthy and intact with very sturdy packaging to keep the soil in the pot. Has been in the ground for two weeks and still looking good so far. Looking forward to watching it grow.
Arrived in good condition. Very nice specimen
A nice traditional Japanese maple! Though mine is rather small, it still has the looks of a red maple, not quite dark red yet, but a gorgeous color.
Happy to find ‘moonrise’ available at Maple Ridge. It was shipped with three other 1-gal maples, all in excellent condition. The ‘moonrise’ is as lovely and healthy as I would have hoped!
I ordered a one gallon XL Orangeola and the tree was a good size, had a clean graft, and was well packaged! The tree had a lot of roots, but was delivered on the dry side and the top couple branches had leaf wilt due to the pot being dry or possibly heat stress from shipping. I had two other trees in my order that arrived in perfect condition and I think because the Orangeola had a lot of roots and was still in a small pot, it didn't handle the shipping as well. I have the tree in a shady recovery area of my backyard and it will grow back just fine!!
The plant is very nice and was well packaged when it arrived. It took a long time to get the tree. Turn out it was not in stock, and there was a wait of a couple of months. The website should state whether or not it's in stock and when to expect delivery. This was not transparent.
Loved it so much, I bought another😊
Ordering from several of the other maple nurseries and paying far too much for 8-9 day shipping I decided to place my first order with Maple Ridge.
When my trees didn't ship right away I reached out. I was told that shipments heading to Washington ship on Monday's. My trees arrived in 4 days flat. Half the time of their competitors. Great healthy trees too.
Healthy, unique little shape! The packaging was superior to any tree I have ordered.
I am so happy with my trees. Packed well and they are thriving. Great customer service. They made good suggestions for my space and sunlight needs.

We are constantly putting trees in larger pots to allow them to grow and not become root bound. Therefore, many of our trees may have loose dirt in the pot until the roots fill out the container.
All of our Japanese Maples are grafted with a side veneer graft unless specifically stated as seedlings. This style of grafting is most commonly used in the nursery industry and allows these trees to still become excellent bonsai as the graft scar will be no longer visible when the trees age.
