REDMOND, Wash. — Redmond police arrested a convicted felon on Sunday evening for attempting to shoplift nearly $1,200 in merchandise.
Sunday around 7:30 p.m., Redmond police officers responded to a department store where a man was attempting to shoplift. The store’s loss prevention employee informed officers that the shoplifter was a known thief.
When en route to the store, the officers were notified that the man had multiple warrants out for his arrest in multiple cities. He has seven felony convictions and 21 non-felony convictions.
During the arrest, officers recovered nearly $1,200 in merchandise, a loaded firearm, burglary tools, and 92 blue Fentanyl pills. Police also discovered that the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle.
He was arrested without incident and booked into King County jail on multiple charges.
