Description

Brodie Juniper (Juniperus Virginiana ‘Brodie’) is a tough conical evergreen Eastern Red Cedar that thrives where other plants fail. It has a rich green feathery foliage, that turns bronzy in cold weather, and the tree will eventually grow 15 feet to 25 feet tall and about 6 feet wide when mature. Brodie Juniper will grow 1′ to 2′ a year. It has fragrant, finely textured deep green foliage. This plant will grow well in any well drained soil, and when established its very heat and drought tolerant. Brodie Juniper is rarely bothered by insects or disease, and Deer do not like it. Songbirds love it for the excellent nesting cover it provides as well as tasty berries close by, to eat! It makes an excellent dense plant or hedge that can be left natural or trimmed. All our Brodie Junipers are female cultivars, meaning no pollen.
