Tucked behind the Normandale Community College in Bloomington is a gorgeous Japanese garden. The two acre garden surrounds a pond, stocked with koi, and criss-crossed with traditional bridges. Tiny, perfect islands a few feet across dot the water, perfectly groomed trees cut in the Niwaki style and there is even a small, hidden waterfall. The students at Normandale are extremely lucky to have such a beautiful and unique garden on their campus. Park in the West lot for access.
