Police say Ohio woman charged after officers find her shoplifting at Walmart with drugs

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKEF/ WRGT)- A woman from Ohio is in jail after police said she tried to shoplift from a Walmart store and officers found drugs on her.

On Wednesday, December 5, 2018, Boardman Police were called to the Boardman Walmart store at 6:30 pm. A store employee said a female stole a bag on her way out of the store.

Police then arrested 27-year-old Alyssa Zebrasky, of Austintown, on a charge of theft.

Officers say during a search of Zebrasky's purse, they located a hypodermic needle and several small containers.

Police say one container had two clear baggies that contained a "whitish rock like substance," and another container had an "orange pill." Zebrasky stated to police that the baggies contained Methamphetamine, and a suboxone pill. Police said the narcotics were taken and logged into evidence.

Additionally, police said Zebrasky had an entered warrant for failure to appear out of the Austintown Police Department.

Zebrasky was charged with theft. Police say she has also been charged with possessing drug abuse instruments, and possession of drugs.
