Lemon Thread False Cypress
The Lemon Thread False Cypress, or Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Lemon Thread', is a slow-growing, compact shrub that typically reaches a height of 3-4 feet and a width of 4-5 feet at maturity. It has a mounding, conical shape and delicate, thread-like foliage that emerges bright yellow-green in the spring and gradually fades to a light green-yellow color in the summer. This variety prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, border plantings, or as a specimen plant in small spaces.
