Description:
Helix or NGC 7293 is one of the closest planetary nebulae to the Earth with distance of 655 light year. Its apparent radius is just less than the Moon's apparent dimensions and hence it could be considered as an extended planetary nebula, in constrast with most planetary nebulae, which usually look extremely small even via a telescope.
