Thuja occidentalis Highlights™ is a golden arborvitae cultivar that produces darker green foliage in shade, which lightens to yellow and gold in full sun, producing an eye-catching, colorful evergreen effect that lasts through high heat as well as cold winters.
This golden arborvitae produces tight, upright pyramidal growth reaching 8-20' in height, and with spread to four feet the tree becomes conical with age; Highlights™ makes for an excellent garden specimen, hedging shrub, or foundation planting.
