Description

This small tree or large shrub will slowly grow to about 25' tall and has medium-sized, dark green leaves. It has umbrella like crown, with multi-trunks, making this an outstanding specimen. It prefers full sun near the coast but give afternoon shade in warm inland areas. It needs well draining soil and medium amount of watering, more during hot summer months. Foliage is needle-like and bark is reddish brown. This plant is fire-prone! Please use caution when planting near your home.

This plant is on the City of Ashland’s Prohibited Plant List and should only be planted if it is at least 30 feet away from any structure. Prohibited Flammable Plants List Questions? Contact Firewise staff at 541-482-2770.
