Podocarpus macrophyllus Maki
This shrubby yew pine is a versatile large shrub or small tree for hot humid regions. Its feathery branches are covered with shorter, narrow lance like evergreen leaves. Maki has a dense, upright form and can be treated as a hedge, topiary or espalier. This tough plant thrives in the most adverse conditions, tolerating a wide range of light exposures and soils, although does not like wet feet. Grows to H 4m x W 2m
