Pot Grown San Jose Juniper in Japanese Ceramic Pot No. 11972

This is a One-Of-A-Kind San Jose Juniper (juniperus chinensis ‘san jose’)

San Jose Junipers are species of Junipers for people that like bonsai with thick trunks. San Jose are notable for their striking green foliage and beautiful bark. The stiff irregular branches makes this bonsai quite attractive with its sage green foliage.   

A couple years ago, we acquired several hundred of these junipers after purchasing Hollow Creek Nursery. Most of these San Jose were root bound (and they still need some love), but they've bounced back nicely. 

Since acquiring the Root bound San Jose, in 2020 we loosened up the compact root balls repotted them. This particular tree spend the winter in Florida to improve the trees health – no styling and very light pruning. 

The tree had been trained as bonsai years ago but never reached a refined state. There's a lot of work with. You can continue to refine the tree and/or graft a new foliage, such as Shimpaku, to it. 

This a project tree. It has fantastic bones, and in a couple years, you will have an incredible bonsai tree. 

IMPORTANT: We Can NOT ship Junipers to California. It's a USDA State Regulation
