New Zealand is fortunate to be home to a plethora of native trees. Most are evergreen or semi-deciduous so will likely provide foliage all year round.
Planting natives has many benefits including contributing to the ecological well being of a region. If native birds are desired these offer some excellent choices. The foliage and shape of native trees can be quite distinctive so is a great compliment to striking modern architecture.
