Origin:

This cultivar originated as a seedling selected in the early 1990s by Günther Horstmann and introduced to the nursery trade through his family nursery in Schneverdingen, Germany. Plants found in the U.S. nursery trade often lack the Horstmann name on the plant tag. In the German language, Silberspitz translates into silver-tip.
