Callitris rhomboidea is a hardy, graceful columnar tree with mid green "Cypress-like" foliage that turns purplish brown in cold weather.
It produces clusters of woody cones that can stay on the tree for many years.
It makes an excellent lawn specimen and as it reacts well to trimming it can therefore make a good hedge - often used around pools for privacy.
Plant 3-4 metres apart to make a good hedge or screen.
If not trimmed it will become pyramidical as it matures.
