Belonging to the Cupressaceae family, it has a conical columnar bearing, a characteristic that makes it a splendid green decorative element, suitable for embellishing both public and private gardens.

Also known as the Cypress of Leyland, it has a fast growth that leads it to reach 25 meters in height in a short time, a factor that makes it perfect for those who want to create a striking green wall with a high aesthetic impact in a few years. United and aligned, these imposing cypresses in fact form impenetrable dense and very dense sound-absorbing and windbreak hedges.

It produces needle-like leaves with a pointed line and scaly appearance, bright yellow-green in color, which tends to bronze in the winter months. Very resistant, rustic and resistant to diseases, the Cupressocyparis Leylandii conifer tolerates any sun exposure well, slightly preferring full sun or partial shade conditions.

It can resist well to various climatic conditions, from the scorching heat of summer to the cold of winter, surviving very well at minimum temperatures over -15 °. It prefers cool climates, tolerates humidity fairly well and is, for this reason, the ideal choice to be positioned near the sea, given its high strength.

Easy to grow outdoor plant, to keep a compact and regular Leyland Cypress hedge, it will be sufficient to resort to pruning twice a year, in the months of June and September. To thrive, it prefers fertile and well-drained soil and needs regular watering.
