    A:  These are full sun to part shade. They will get their best color in full sun, more of a golden color. In part shade they are more lime green.

              A:  Hi there Jane. Great question! Your zip code is in zone 8b per the USDA Hardiness zone map. The Amber Gold Arborvitae is winter hardy in zones 4 to 8. Your zone is at the warmest point but should do well for you. Provide water consistently when the top 2” of the soil is dry until it is well established. Hope this helps and happy gardening!

                  Q:The description of this Arborvitae (Thuja) gives 2 conflicting mature growth descriptions. It states full growth at 6 ft tall and 18" wide and further on also states up to 180" (15 ft) and 26" wide. Which is the accurate description of full growth shrub?

                  A:  The two answers given are not actually answers. There are two very different descriptions for this plants mature height and width. We all would like to know which one is correct. It can't be both.

                    A:  Research from other websites say 15ft by 3ft at maturity. I?m wondering if 6ft is the ?10 year growth size? conifer descriptions give? To be safe I?d assume 15ft at 10 years old. Check google for the tree trade name ?Jantar?
