I don't know a thing about it, but I like the upright branches. Wonder how they will mature as the tree gets taller. Will they hang down at the tips? I'd like to see this as it develops.

Sheridan Spire w/foliage. Photo taken today so this has been through Hurricane Irene and another recent storm plus a few hard frosts. Second pic is of another Sheridan Spire that was transplanted 2 yrs ago.

@blue_yew- I have none at the moment. My brother in zone 4b here in Wisconsin has a Metasequoia glyptostroboides that was doing fine the last time I saw it.

The 'Sheridan Spire' isn't that special as it cultivar name says.
I've see tons of seedlings with the same growing habit.
All pics shown here aren't differend from the species...
It's time for a real narrow form to be introduced!
