Dave, what's the blue things at its feet? (I'm on a mobile device and can't zoom in to it.) I love the colors and textures together. For me, that's one of the best things about your pix: the use of color and texture, focusing in on where to look. I'm learning a lot from them.

That's not been a very successful grass for me, but probably because I did not site it well. I'm mostly clay, but I've got one spot thats drier where it might work. May have to give it another look.

Yes it takes about 2 years of new growth to begin its weeping growth habit. Each year of additional growth adds to its weeping characteristics.

so , have you been training the leader every year ?

Yes, slow to harden off and very unstable as to where it's headed I want a straight arrow for now and no issues for the look I want. I'll let it free range in several years and see where it goes.

It has plenty of room to do whatever it wants. I have noticed when this cultivar gets acclimated it will put on a strong leader in the neighborhood of 12-18 inches. With all that overhanging weight it can't rebound to vertical growth.
