Retrophyllum rospigliosii (Pino hayuelo) is a species of conifer in the Podocarpaceae family, found in western Venezuela, eastern Colombia, northwestern Bolivia, and central Peru.

Junin and Pasco, Peru

Description ³

It is a very large growing tree up to 30 m tall and can form more or less extensive pure stands on exposed sites, but as a result of deforestation it is more often found as scattered individuals (Zenteno-Ruíz 2007).

Habitat Type ³

Cloud forest - altitudinal range from 1,500 to 3,300 m.
