This tree species is a cultivar of the Himalayan cedar tree, known for its more bluish needle colour. It makes a striking, aesthetic addition to landscapes because of its unique appearance and interesting contrast.

The needles are soft, fine and grow together in bundles. Due to their relatively long length, they generally give the tree a softer appearance. 'Feeling Blue' has a pyramidal growth form that adds elegance to landscapes. As the tree ages, the branches may extend horizontally.

Cedrus deodara thrives in full sun to light shade and needs well-drained soil. It is fairly hardy and may be suitable for temperate climates. The cultivar is often used as an ornamental tree in gardens and landscapes because of its famous blue needle colour and elegant shape. It can be planted as a specimen tree or as part of a larger landscape design.
