These are the biggest Ginkgo biloba leaves I’ve ever seen! They were nine-inches-wide and generated by a basal sucker of a street tree. Spotted by our @UCBerkeley team on our way to a research collaborators meeting at Ghent University. Great way to finish a productive week and some new exciting research directions! #scienceresearch #geology #paleobiology
