Product number : 5PINBSS20
DescriptionSpecifications

Origin
The Pinus nigra 'Brepo', also known as the Austrian Pine, has its origin in the Central and South European mountains. This cultivar is characterised by its compact growth and has been specially selected for use in smaller gardens or urban landscapes. It is also particularly popular in parks and playgrounds thanks to its growth and aesthetic properties.

Characteristics
The 'Brepo' is a compact growing, conically shaped pine with dark green needles that grow in bundles of two. The needles retain their colour all year round. In the growing seasons the tree develops female flowers which later grow into small, shiny dark brown pine cones. It can grow up to 3 metres high and 2 metres wide, a significantly smaller size than regular Austrian pines.

Care
Despite its notable adaptability, the Pinus nigra 'Brepo' has certain preferences in terms of care and conditions. It thrives on well-draining soil, which can be sandy or clay-like, but must be rich in organic material. The 'Brepo' enjoys a location in full sun. Regular pruning is not required, but if necessary, it should be done in late spring. Regular watering is recommended in case of extreme drought. Although the tree is generally resistant to diseases and pests, it is advisable to regularly inspect for signs of damage or disease.
