This tree is versatile and can be found in various climates and environments, but it thrives best in the colder regions of Northern Europe.

Characteristics
The Pinus sylvestris 'Watereri' is a small to medium-sized, multi-trunked coniferous tree that can grow up to four metres in height. This dwarf pine has an unusually beautiful, round form with a wide, sprawling crown. The needles are a bluish-green colour and have an elegant, drooping shape. The tree bears cones that are up to 6 cm long and a dark red-brown in colour.

Care
The Pinus sylvestris 'Watereri' requires little maintenance. It needs full sun exposure and is very tolerant of drought. The tree grows best in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil. It's important to note that this tree grows slowly and that pruning is usually only necessairy to remove dead or damaged branches. Although pest control is not generally needed, Chrysomyxa pirolata fungi and woolly adelgids can sometimes infest this tree.
