Comments: Ideal rock garden specimen due to it's slow growth. Can also be used in containers or near the house for a small border. This evergreen is very hardy and the foliage will provide an unusual color mixed with spring and summer annuals. "Saint Mary" was discovered as a witches-broom at the Saint Mary's Convent in New Jersey where it still resides.  This evergreen is still considered a rarity in the nursery trade. 

Grower Note: If this variety is grown in the ground for the B&B trade, St. Mary has a tendency to be "floppy" in the ball when dug.
