Dodge Grand Caravan: 'Best family vehicle ever.'

The Dodge Grand Caravan continues to set the mark in the minivan segment. With more than 25 years of minivan-first innovations including the segment's only Stow 'n Go and Swivel 'n Go seating and storage systems; SIRIUS Backseat TV with Nickelodeon, Disney Channel and Cartoon Network Mobile; and rear-seat dual-DVD entertainment, the Dodge Grand Caravan is a family room on wheels.

The Swivel 'n Go seating and storage system features second-row seats that swivel 180 degrees to face the third row, a removable table that installs between the two rows, in-floor covered storage bins, and fold-in-the-floor third-row seating. The Grand Caravan offers a vast amount of cargo room, including 143.8 cubic-feet behind the front seats, 82.6 cubic-feet behind the second row, and 32.3 cubic-feet behind the third row.

Integrated child booster seats and a dual nine-inch rear DVD entertainment system with swiveling third-row monitor and SIRIUS Backseat TV are also available with Swivel 'n Go.

"Our engineers certainly came up with some creative and innovative seating features with this minivan, but what's most impressive is that they didn't sacrifice any cargo space to do it. In fact, we have a best-in-class storage system," said George Brue, General Manager for Napleton's Northlake Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge. "This is probably the best family vehicle ever made."

The instrument panel of Grand Caravan is designed to give you complete control of everything in your vehicle, and features the available Uconnect Navigation system. Use the touch screen to find your route and then simply follow the turn-by-turn direction all the way to your destination.

The Grand Caravan continues to be the only vehicle in the segment to feature Blind-spot Monitoring (BSM) and Rear Cross Path (RCP) accident-avoidance safety systems.

BSM detects a possible unseen vehicle when changing lanes. RCP aids the driver any time the vehicle is in Reverse and warns if any traffic is moving toward the vehicle. Both systems utilize dual ultra-wideband radar sensors that notify the driver via an audible chime and a visible icon on exterior mirrors.

A 4.0-liter, V6 aluminum engine offers unsurpassed fuel economy and the minivan-segment's best combination of horsepower (251) and torque (259 ft.-lb.). A 3.3-liter flex fuel capabale V6 that produces 175 horsepower and a 3.8-liter V6 (197 horsepower) are also available. All engines are mated to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic transmission.

Paired with 17-inch aluminum wheels and a sport-tuned suspension, the Dodge Grand Caravan offers a spirited driving experience, which is something you may not expect from the minivan segment.

"While many manufacturers have stopped producing minivans, the Dodge Grand Caravan just keeps getting better," said Brue. "This is an incredible vehicle and its a key part of our lineup."
