Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Compacta' There are tons of Hinoki cypress varieties ranging from dwarf to large that have beautiful foliage and texture. They are not difficult to grow but need careful siting. Too much wind or sun exposure in winter will dry out the foliage and turn it an ugly brown.
