A rare hybrid obtained in Argentina from a population of trees grown from seed obtained by pollinating A. araucana with A. angustifolia pollen. The resulting plants have interesting properties, combining the cold hardiness and robustness of A. araucana with the faster growth of A. angustifolia. Seeds need no pretreatment and are best sown by sticking the pointed end in the ground until only the top of the seed is showing.
