This beautiful, large, columnar conifer is found in upland areas throughout New Caledonia to 1400 m (4600 ft). The smooth, candelabra-like branchlets hold small, recurved, scale-like leaves with rounded tips. Even though little known in cultivation, it will adapt well to most warm temperate climates.
