The Chir PIne has a medium to fast-paced growth to a height of 60'-80'. It forms a slender pyramid that later develops into a round-topped tree (30'-40' wide) with a symmetrical head. The light green needles are 8"-13" long and are grouped in 3's. Its cones produce edible pine nuts. Pines are highly combustible plants.
Planting: 1. Dig a hole 1" less the depth and 2 times the width of the container. 2. Fill hole with water, let soak. 3. Set root ball in hole. 4. Fill hole halfway with native soil and water. 5. Finish back filling hole, build basin and water.
