Shoplifters hit London Drugs

A local London Drugs had a substantial amount of merchandise shoplifted last week. Police say two women shoplifted $1813 from the London Drugs located at St. Albert Centre. On Sunday, Dec. 3 just before 6 p.m.

RCMP are looking for two women in connection with a shoplifting incident that took place on Dec. 3.

A local London Drugs had a substantial amount of merchandise shoplifted last week. Police say two women shoplifted $1813 from the London Drugs located at St. Albert Centre. On Sunday, Dec. 3 just before 6 p.m. two women stole several items from the store including a display containing coloured contact lenses. One woman is described as Aboriginal with dyed blonde hair and of average height and weight. She is approximately 30 years old and was wearing a gold necklace, long olive jacket, knee high black boots and had a blue handbag. The second woman is described as Aboriginal with dyed blonde hair, average height and with a heavier build. She was also around 30 years old. At the time she was wearing an olive jacket with a fur trim on the hood, large brown bag, wide brown belt, dark sleeveless shirt, knee high brown boots and multiple rings.

Second shoplifting incident

London Drugs was struck a second time by a shoplifter. This time a man managed to get away with $420 worth of merchandise. On Monday Dec. 4 at around 2:45 p.m. a man entered the London Drugs at St. Albert Centre and placed some items in his jacket and left without paying. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male who is around 50 years old. He had long grey hair tied back in a ponytail with a grey goatee. At the time he was wearing white sneakers, black track pants, a dark shirt with white print. He was also wearing a black jacket and grey baseball hat.
The RCMP is asking employees to be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour from shoppers. RCMP say that if you are a customer and witness suspicious activity you should notify someone immediately.
