A narrow, column-shaped selection that broadens later. The main stem grows remarkably straight and branches grow in a uniform, open pattern. The branches slant upwards slightly. Height 15 - 20 m, width to approx. 6 m. Slow-growing, particularly when young. The fan-shaped leaves and flower buds are on short shoots. The leaves grow in bundles of 3 - 5 together and have an incised top. The autumn colour is golden yellow. 'Princeton Sentry' is a male type that is excellently suited as a street tree, thanks to its lack of fruit. It is also suitable for small gardens. Requires a site with ample light.
