An American selection with a uniform manner of growth, initially narrow pyramidal, later broad pyramidal. The main trunk grows straight and branches grow in an open pattern. Height 15 - 25 m, width to approx. 15 m. Slow-growing, particularly when young. The fan-shaped leaves and flower buds are on short shoots. The leaves grow in bundles of 3 - 5 together and have an incised top. The lovely golden yellow colouration in the autumn, one of the selection criteria for 'Autumn Gold' adds extra decorative value.
