Ginkgoaceae

Ginkgo biloba 'Barabits Fastigiata' Ginkgo biloba 'Barabits Fastigiata'

Medium-size columnar tree growing to over 10 m with steeply rising main branches. Twigs are light brown and smooth, mature bark is grey-brown and deeply grooved when older. The leaves are slightly smaller than the species and turn golden yellow in autumn. This Hungarian selection has a columnar growth habit which is more or less the same as ‘Princeton Sentry’, but produces a distinctly squatter tree. When young, ‘Barabit’s Fastigiata’ already ramifies well, meaning young trees also have a nice full crown. Its strong rising branching pattern make it suitable as an avenue tree in narrow streets.
Our trees can only be planted when they don't have any leaves. Due to the this we will start delivering again from November 2024.
