A successful start in modeling

It is something that few people know. Before she became a global star with millions of records sold, Whitney Houston had a successful modeling career. In 1980, when she was barely 16 years old, the young woman, accompanied by her mother, was discovered by an agent from Click Model Management in the streets of New York. She then signed with the prestigious world-famous agency, Wilhemina Models. Her angelic pout, her magnetic aura, and zest for life landed her in magazines such as Seventeen, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, or Mademoiselle. She completely abandoned modeling a few years later to devote herself to music, and release a first album soberly entitled Whitney Houston, unveiled in 1985.
