This Lancia Scorpion / Montecarlo got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1976 Lancia Beta coupe is a non-running project car finished in orange over red upholstery and fitted with a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes fog lights, factory 14″ wheels, a luggage rack, and a wood shift knob. The car has been titled in Wisconsin since 1986 and was acquired by the selling dealer in September 2021. This Beta Coupe project is offered at no reserve with clean Wisconsin title.
The car is said to have been repainted in orange during prior ownership, and equipment includes fog lights, black bumpers with bright trim, and a chrome luggage rack. Rust is visible on the A-pillar, the rocker panels, the roof, and the rear quarter panels.
Silver-finished 14″ wheels show oxidation and are wrapped with 185/70 Doral SDL-Sport tires with 2021 date codes.
The factory bucket seats are trimmed in red upholstery, which is contrasted by black door panels and a dark brown dashboard. The dashboard is cracked and currently covered by a carpeted pad, tears and staining are visible on the seats, and there is no radio.
Factory Veglia gauges have fogged faces and include a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a bank of secondary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 69k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 1.8-liter Lampredi inline-four is inclined towards the firewall and was factory rated at 86 horsepower when new. A compression test was performed in fall 2021 with pictures provided in the gallery. The engine does not currently run.
Power is delivered to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. Rust-through is visible on underbody components, and additional photos of the underside are provided in the gallery.
