While the Plymouth Road Runner was originally meant to be a cheaper alternative to some of the market’s more expensive muscle cars back in the late 60s, there’s definitely nothing inexpensive about this restmod.

In fact, this 1970 model is estimated to fetch anywhere between $90,000 and $130,000, according to the Mecum Auctions ad. And while it may have loads of mods, to us, it’s the fuel injected 6.1-liter SRT-8 HEMI V8 unit that stands out.

Visually, this Road Runner boasts a Ted Janek Superbird conversion kit, responsible for the new wing and styled nose. The body features a Titanium Bronze Metallic color, honoring the few cars that were accidentally painted Burnt Orange Metallic way back.

Other exterior mods include the new LED taillights, custom carbon fiber graphics, chrome exhaust tips, body-color sport mirrors, the Road Runner icon decals and a set of 5-spoke American Racing wheels with Michelin low-profile tires.

Moving on to the interior, we see Corbeau leather seats, power windows, custom door paneling, 3D gauges, a carbon fiber-rimmed steering wheel, narrowed center console with a special shifter and an upgraded audio system.

As for performance, the previously-mentioned HEMI V8 unit works alongside a March Performance-style accessory drive kit, TTI headers, powder-coated exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers, plus an A727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission and an 8.75 Sure Grip differential. Meanwhile, the quick-ratio power steering system and power disc brakes should make this car easier to drive than the original.

Unfortunately, the ad doesn’t specify any performance figures – which we assume would be nothing to scoff at.
