“Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger — can I take your order?”
Such were the lines repeated on Wednesday’s nostalgic episode of The Tonight Show, as Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited to pay tribute to their 1997 Paramount film, which saw the two aiming to save a fast-food restaurant from going out of business.
Behind the counter of the set replica, Mitchell reprised his role of Ed (now promoted to a supervisor role). The crew was beefed up by host Jimmy Fallon, and the two team up to somewhat serve customers Steve Higgins and Black Thought.
Thompson, however, didn’t appear as Dexter Reed, instead wearing a hard hat as construction worker Lester Oats.
Mitchell and Thompson were featured in the recurring “Good Burger” sketch of Nickelodeon’s All That, which aired from 1994 to 2005. Their spinoff, Kenan & Kel, then ran from 1996 to 2000.
